Hybrid & Remote Support
Whether you're teaching face to face or fully remote, chances are some of your instruction will utilize technology.
Course modality
Online with in-person requirement (CNET – formerly known as Blended)
An online course with in-person requirement means there will be both online activities
and on-campus meeting times. Therefore, course material, assessments and interactions
between instructor and students and between student and students will be delivered
through a combination of both online and classroom meeting, with specific times determined
by the instructor. Dates for required classroom meetings and any synchronous online
meetings will be provided through the course section notes, the syllabus or other
communication. The course may require that assessments, whether online or in the classroom,
be taken in an approved proctored location or with proctoring or a monitoring software/service.
Online – no meeting time (INET – formerly known as Online-Asynchronous or Online Independent Course)
An online – no meeting times course delivers 100% of the material and assessments
online but may require that assessments be taken using a proctoring or monitoring
software/service. This format allows students the flexibility to interact with material
and content on their own, individual schedules while still meeting due dates prescribed
by the instructor.
Online – scheduled times (SNET – formerly known as Online-Synchronous or Online Scheduled Course)
An online – scheduled times course delivers 100% of the material and assessments online
but may require that assessments be taken using a proctoring or monitoring software/service.
This format will require students to meet online on specific days and times. These
virtual meeting times will be determined by the instructor. Dates and times for virtual
classroom meetings will be provided through the course section notes, the syllabus
or other communication.
