The Possible Dream Program was developed by Delta College to encourage students who are academically successful, and face socioeconomic challenges, to successfully complete school and then go on to realize the “dream” of a college education.
Thank you for your effort and participation in this student nomination process. We look forward to receiving your nominations and creating another successful year for the Possible Dream program.
Nomination criteria
Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- The nominee has above average academic potential (2.5 GPA or above).
- The student is financially eligible: receiving financial assistance such as Medicaid, school lunch program, SNAP, MiChild, etc.).
- The have a supportive adult in their life to encourage participation.
- The nominee is able to arrange transportation to one of the Delta College locations for activities. Transportation is provided from the main campus, Downtown Saginaw and Downtown Midland locations.
Nomination process
Each application should include the following:
- a student application;
- a parent/guardian application;
- a teacher/school official/community member nomination (optional).

Are you a teacher, school administrator, or community member that knows a student that would benefit from the Possible Dream Program? We rely on you, our community members, to assist us in identifying promising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Your recommendations are key to assisting us in reaching students who will benefit from this enrichment program.

So, your child had been nominated for the Possible Dream Program at Delta College. This is quite an honor. The Possible Dream Program is a partnership among our students, parents, schools, community stakeholders and Delta College to encourage student success and to help students realize the dream – a college education is possible!
