Pell Recalculation Date
We encourage students to register and set their class schedule within the first week of a semester. Enrollment changes that occur after the semester begins can impact your financial aid.
The Pell Recalculation Date (PRD) policy applies only to the Federal Pell Grant and the Iraq & Afghanistan Service Grant (IASG). The Pell Recalculation Date is the 18th day of each semester and begins with the first day of the semester.
Award amounts for the Federal Pell and IASG, will be determined each semester by the number of credits you are enrolled in as of the Pell Recalculation Date, or the processing date of your completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), whichever is later.
Please note the following:
- A student must meet all attendance guidelines to be entitled to Federal Aid disbursed to them as described in the Attendance Policy.
- If a student adds an additional class after the PRD for each semester, Pell or IASG aid will not be adjusted to pay for the class, unless a completed FAFSA is received after registration of the late enrolled class.
- If you enroll for the first time for a semester after the PRD, then that date becomes your PRD.
- Federal aid will be adjusted for any class that is never attended, regardless of the PRD or the date of the drop/withdrawal.
- Federal Student loans will be adjusted based on actual enrollment before they are disbursed to the student, and require a student to be in enrolled in a minimum of six credits.
- Grants and scholarships from the State or private donors, are based on the refund schedule for each semester.
